Abraham Vinck, Baptism Transcript, May 30, 1610, Amsterdam, Netherlands

Abraham Vinck Acting as another Grumé Baptism Witness in Haarlem, 1675.

Image
Abraham Vinck was a witness for a baptism June 1, 1675. The child's name was Johannes van Merefoort. The parents were Marijtje Gramé and husband Hendrik Abrahamse van Merefoort. Gramé has been used as an alternate spelling of Grumé. Daniel's parents Alselme Grumé and Elizabeth Vinck had a daughter, Marie, baptized in the Walloon Church, June 1634. She would have been 40 years old in June 1675. Abraham Vinck, baptized 30 May 1610 in Amsterdam, the son of painter Abraham Willemsz Vinck, was 65 years old in 1675. This is further evidence that Abraham Vinck was the son of Abraham Willemsz Vinck, brother of Elizabeth, uncle to her and husband Alselme's children, and great uncle to the child Jonathan, who was a grandson of Alselme and Elizabeth. This baptism in 1675 was not held at the Walloon church. It took place at a Reformed Calvinist Church, in Haarlem where services were conducted in Dutch, rather than French at Walloon Churches.
